Devin Tepleski is a landscape designer and educator based in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Besides his role as a designer, Devin also delves into landscape research, blending elements of anthropology and geography. He employs a combination of methods from archival studies, documentary photography, ethnography, remote sensing, and algorithmic design to reveal insights about the terrain and waters we depend on, narrating tales of human connections to the earth.

About

I have over a decade of experience working with diverse communities to document and mitigate the impacts humans have on the planet. I believe that studying the cultural and historical processes of placemaking is necessary before intervening with design. Through engaging in design processes that involve a diversity of voices, beautiful, storied places emerge — places that educate people about their relationships to the ecosystem — places that are worth protecting.
